Amid political uncertainty in the state with suspense continuing over the formation of government, sources close to the PDP camp revealed that the race for the seat of PDP president has started.
With Mehbooba Mufti all set to take over as the chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, she has to quit the post of president as she won’t be able to deliver better at both the slots. “Many senior faces want non-saeed to head the party, but as of now Sartaj Madni, who is also a close relative of Mufti is likely to take over as the party president,” a PDP leader said.
