Srinagar, June 26: With an aim to show love for the deprived children, SAAYA-Shadow of Hope, a non-governmental organization Saturday hosted an Iftar party for around 100 orphans here at a local orphanage.
The spokesperson of the organization in a handout said: “We are really honoured to be a part of this special occasion. Nothing is more fulfilling for us than sharing Iftar with these beautiful children who have been deprived of the love and care of their parents”
The handout further reads that the NGO would ensure a safe and secure environment to children to enable them to become successful in lives.
“Such children need to be provided the emotional stability to help them overcome their challenges, focus on their studies, enhance their skills and build a sense of belonging,” it reads.
Besides the Iftar, the children were also served with the dinner.
The organization has thanked the sponsors Mushtaq Group of Hotels and Ali Group of Hotels for their contribution towards the Iftar party.
Later a joint congregation prayer was held on the occasion.
