“RSGC tendered the outsourcing of the restaurant facility for providing catering facility to the members and golfing tourists. M/s 7Cs Café n Dine emerged as the successful bidder and an allotment letter was issued to it. As per the Clause number 5 of the allotment letter, the bidder had to execute an agreement with the RSGC management before starting the operation. However, M/s 7Cs Café n Dine neither executed the agreement nor deposited the requisite money with RSGC authorities and started operations,” she said, adding that they started operating without agreement and approved rate structure as per the clause number 16 of the allotment letter. The agency was asked to execute the agreement and comply to the rate structure as per allotment conditions..

Ms. Nuzhat said, “During the first day of the operations, without fixing the rates, which is mandatory as per the clause of the allotment, the employees of M/s 7Cs Café n Dine started overcharging from the members and visitors.” “I started receiving complaints from the members about the overcharging, unhygienic conditions and indifferent attitude of the waiters,” she said, adding that taking cognizance of frequent complaints, the RSGC cancelled the allotment order on 24-07-2015 and substantiated it with the reasons. She said the restaurant owner was asked to vacate the premises, which he failed to do. The owners started harassing the golfers by using inappropriate language. The owners/partners of warned me of dire consequences if i made any move to vacate them. They said they are having many ministers support to throw me and my seniors out of RSGC.After my pleas/notice was unheard by them i lodged an FIR with the concerned police station. The police got them evicted from here. The appropriate procedure has been adopted to get this prime location vacated in the interest of the golf course, members and the tourists,” she said adding that as such facilities are showcase of tourism and such type of behaviour and exorbitant rates offered by the concerned restaurant owner was intolerable. They are giving false picture to media and dropping names of all the people at the helm of affairs to harass the staff of RSGC.She said the golfers have welcomed the move of vacating of M/s 7Cs Café n Dine and they have appreciated the services and rate structure of the restaurant currently operated by the government owned Jammu and Kashmir Tourism Development Corporation.
