Srinagar | Mar 22 : A 65-year old man said to be a retired Tehsildar was injured after some unidentified men attacked him with acid when he was going for Fajar prayers.
Police sources told Press Trust of Kashmir said that the incident occurred at around5:40 in the morning, when the victim Ali Muhammad Shah was walking towards masjid to offer prayers.
Reportedly, the unidentified persons have fled from the place after sprinkling acid on right side of his face. Fortunate for him, the acid fell on his clothes and a few drops on his face. He was later rushed SMHS hospital for treatment. His condition is said to be stable.
Police has registered a case under an FIR vide No 36/2016 under section 324 of Ranbir Penal Code (RPC). (PTK)
