‘Reservation Menace can be a future ‘social catastrophe’ if not attended well in time’: JKGCWF

‘Formation of JKGCWF formally announced Vows to fight ‘reservation’ menace state-wide

Bandipora,Nov 24: Members from Civil Society, Trade Unions and Employees here on Tuesday formally announced formation of Jammu and Kashmir General category Welfare Forum(JKGCWF) to fight what they call as the menace of ‘Reservation Policy’.

The reservation policy has disturbed the social structure which can lead to a future social catastrophe and in the context of social development this disturbance can prove more alarming in future if not attended will in time” Forum members said.

Various Trade Union Leaders, members from traders Federations, Civil Society Members and representatives of employees who arrived from various parts of state here in Bandipora under leadership of Sayed Shameem formally announced the formation of   Jammu and Kashmir General Category Welfare Forum (JKGCWF).They said that forum will fight against the ‘menace of reservation policy’ taking all the social stake holders on board.

“In it is first step forum will demand implementation of court order regarding the reservation policy recently issued by Jammu and Kashmir High court” President said.

Forum Members claimed that JKGCWF units had been formed across all districts in the state wherever required and Sayed Shameem was unanimously elected its state president.

While cautioning the government about playing voting bank politics on the basis of reservation, JKGCWF members sought an immediate implementation of Court order regarding the reservation.

They  asserted that forum will continue to fight for the poor and victimised people who are immediate victims of reservation menace till government implements the court order.

“We are demanding implementation of court order regarding reservation taking all sectors of society on board, People who are taking benefits from decade old reservation policy is now a prosperous who are effecting meritorious aspirants at every front of society, said Sayed Muhammad Shaheem President JKGCWF

Syed Shameem claimed that because of the current reservation policy, “the state has achieved disturbed socio-economic and education balance which can lead to a future social catastrophe”

He said “Very soon a ‘maharally’ will be organised in Srinagar and Jam mu, We will call people across the state and will continue to fight for our rights till we achieve success. We will launch our struggle massive if government fails to implement the court order”

Later President JKGCWF Sayed Shameem framed a district body for Bandipora including Nisarul Karim as vice President,Dr Ashiq Hussain as Secretary while Abid Hussain Khan,Mushtaq Sumbli and Fayaz Ahmed Malik were elevated as  executive members  to state body.
