Two thieves were arrested and property worth lakhs of rupees recovered by a team of Police Station Thanamandi within 04 days of the incident.
A complainant Maneez Begum W/o Mohd Arif R/o Pangai Thanamandi approached Police Station Thanamandi and reported that she was out of home alongwith her family during night.
When she returned back, found that the locks of the house were broken and Gold & Silver ornaments and some other household items including Blankets were stolen by some unknown thieves.
However, police registered a case FIR number 99/2017 P/S Thanamandi U/s 457, 380 RPC and investigation taken up. A Special Investigation Team headed by Inspector Karan Chalotra, SHO P/S Thanamandi under the supervision of SDPO IFTKHAR AHMED OF Thanamandi and under the directions of Shri YOUGAL MANHAS SSP Rajouri was constituted to crack the Burglary case.
During the course of investigation several suspects were rounded up using human and technical intelligence and two of them resident of Pangai, Thanamandi identified as Ab. Hamid S/o Muneer Hussain and Mohd. Younis S/o Wazir Mohd. confessed to their involvement in the Burglary . On theirs disclosure stolen Gold & Silver ornaments and Blankets and other Household items worth 1,10,000/- has been recovered.
Meanwhile, People of the area appreciated the role of Rajouri Police in their prompt action against the culprits in effecting the recovery of stolen property and arresting of the thieves.
