Protests broke out in Pulwama district of south Kashmir after the killing of two militants in a gunbattle with army and SOG on Thursday.
The two militants – one identified as Manzoor Ahmad Bhat of Kakapora area of the district – died during the night in an encounter with forces in Harpura Mohalla of Gasu village.
After news came to know of the death of the militants in the Pulwama town, youth came out on the roads and staged protests.
