Srinagar, May 18(KNB): An FIR has been filed against a construction firm alleged for unplanned excavation of the Jammu-Srinagar national highway that triggered landslides leaving two people dead.
Jammu and Kashmir police on Sunday has registered an FIR under section 337 (causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) 304 A (causing death by negligence) of IPC against the construction company in Ramban police station.
Earlier, many vehicles mostly trucks and excavators engaged in an ongoing four-laning highway project were also damaged due to landslide on Saturday in Seri Ramban.
However, no arrest has been made so far.
Pertinently, two people have died, one has been rescued alive from under debris while six others with minor injuries admitted in district hospital ramban.(KNB)
