Baramulla 16 June(KNB):Station house officer Chandoosa under the directions of SSP Baramulla conducted a Police-Public meeting with the respectables of the area.The aim of the meeting was to strengthen the relations between Police and Public.
The meeting was attended by 50 to 100
people including members of all communities, Political and social groups, Sarpanches /Panches Numberdars and prominent citizens of the area. Participants applauded the role of Police for conducting such types of meetings to ensure better relationship between Police and Public and also requested to convene PCPG meetings at other places to redress the common grievances of general masses.
SHO Chandoosa Mr Nasir Ahmad also urged upon the participants to co-operate and strengthen the hands of Police, so that the social crime, smuggling of Drugs, illicit forest produce etc be eradicated from the society.
Different issues viz road, water , electricity , transport etc were highlighted by the participants who were assured that the issues partaining to police will be addressed and the issues pertaining to other departments will be submitted to concerned quarters for redressal.
The participants were asked to co-operate with the police to eradicate the social evils.he participants were assured that Chandoosa Police is trying its best to curb the crime from the society and asked for more cooperation from public, so that a crime free atmosphere is buildup. Moreover, they were asked to maintain peace and communal harmony in the area.(KNB)
