Police Arrests Wanted Criminal In Jammu with Sharp-Edged Knife

Jammu 25 March (KNB): Police claims to have arrested a wanted criminal in winter capital Jammu’s Gharota area and recovered a sharp-edged knife from his keeping. 

A statement issued to Kashmir News Bureau said that a police team of police station Gharota led by SHO Khyatimaan Khajuria while on naka duty at Kanger Talab rounded up a suspect namely Farman Ali son of Sher Mohammad, a resident of Keran Nala area of Jammu who was coming from Jammu on motorcycle.

The statement further reads that “On being searched, a spring actuated knife (sharp edged weapon) was recovered from his illegal possession.”

However a case FIR No. 20/2021 U/S 4/25 Arms Act was registered at police station Gharota and the accused was arrested. 

“It is pertinent to mention here that the accused was earlier also booked in case FIR no. 17/2017 U/s 307/323/34 RPC of P/S Gharota and also in case FIR No. 388/17 u/s 341/323/ RPC 4/25 Arms Act of P/S Domana,” statement reads.

It is pertinent to mention that the further investigation in the matter has been initiated by the police. (KNB)
