Jammu 28 December (KNB): Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Police arrested an associate of Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) outfit in Jammu and recovered two grenades from his possession.
According to Police Media Centre Jammu’s tweet, the person was identified as Mohammad Ashraf, Son of Ghulam Din, resident of Lar, Mahore, Reasi but was presently living in Peerbagh colony in Sunjawan area of Jammu.
Officials stated,“J&K Police in Jammu district arrested one person linked with the proscribed terrorist organization LeT, who was tasked by the handlers from across the border to carry out grenade blasts in the city at NHW bye pass road.”
They further said that an FIR No.95/2020 has been registered under relevant sections of law in police station Bagh-e-Bahu. (KNB)
