Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in order to gear up for local body and panchayat polls is all set to intensify its activities at grossroot level.
According to statement issued to The Kashmir Scenario, the party is at present busy with membership drive which is progressive well with people enthusiastically seeking the party’s registration.
The coordinators and District Presidents of Kashmir province took stock of the vital issues yesterday at the office headquarters at Srinagar. The meeting was participated by two general secretaries Nizamudin Bhat and Rafi Ahmad Mir and Political Advisor to President Peerzada Mansoor Hussain.
The party is likely to review the grossroot activity at zonal level in which all the the zone presidents with district committees and zone committees will be invited to participate , a party spokesman stated today.
He said that party is awaiting approval from the president for ensuring broad based complexion of the organization and viable structuring with sister organizations ( the youth and womens wing) to assume organizational responsibilities with full sense of participation.
The spokesman said that party president has already directed for due representation to women and youth in the parent organization, the process of which has already begun at district and zone levels.
The spokesman said that party will ensure the accomplishment of the vision of party patron Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and serious efforts are being made in this direction for effective orientation of the party cadre.
The spokesman said that party is committed to sustainable peace and the party will make relentless effort to achieve the goals under the dynamic leadership of Mehbooba Mufti.
