Pakistan is a supporter not a sponsor of Kashmir movement: Bilal Lone

‘We are committed to take forward political ideology of Lone Sahab’



Srinagar, May 22 : Hurriyat (M) senior leader and Chairman Peoples Conference Bilal Lone Monday said that without Kashmiris involvement there can be no resolution of the Kashmir dispute.

According to KNS correspondent, while speaking on the commemoration of 15th martyrdom anniversary of late Khwaja Abdul Gani Lone, Bilal said that the supporters and lovers of the leader gather to reiterate their commitment to his political ideology.

“We gather here to reiterate our commitment to the political ideology of Lone Sahab. We are committed to taking forward his ideology,” Bilal said while speaking in Kupwara town hall during the programme.

Asked about the ‘video sting’ controversy on Nayeem Khan, Bilal said that Nayeem Sahab has said that the video is doctored. “I believe in him (Nayeem Khan). Pakistan is a supporter of this movement, not a sponsor. We are Kashmiris are we should know how to play our cards,” he said.

“We have time and again insisted on India and Pakistan to let the Kashmiri people choose their own destiny. Without Kashmiris involvement there can be no resolution of the Kashmir dispute, which is an internationally accepted dispute,” he said.




He said that after his father’s martyrdom he joined resistance movement. “To take forward my father’s mission is my duty. Freedom is not achieved by itself, we have to struggle for it,” he said.

According to KNS correspondent, the programme was presided over by Bilal Lone while senior political leaders spoke during the programme and highlighted the role and life of late Abdul Gani Lone for political and social struggle on Kashmir.

Bilal said Shaheed-e-Hurriyat worked tirelessly for the betterment of the people and for helping them in their just struggle for which his role would be recorded in the golden leaves of Kashmir’s resistance movement.



“We reiterate his commitment for resolution of Kashmir dispute by involving Kashmiris in the process of resolution,” Bilal said.

Thousands of people had gathered to pay tributes to the leader. (KNS)
