Pahalgam Attack Was an Assault on Humanity, Nation Stands with Our Soldiers: Syed Abu Bakar Naqvi in Srinagar

Srinagar, May 13: Syed Abu Bakar Naqvi, former Waqf Minister of Rajasthan and the Parent National Convenor of the Muslim Rashtriya Manch (Jammu & Kashmir), addressed a press conference in Srinagar today during the course of a peace yatra aimed at condemning terrorism and honoring India’s armed forces.

Naqvi, who is leading the yatra that began in Jaipur, said the initiative was flagged off by Muslim Rashtriya Manch President Indresh Kumar. The journey is set to culminate in Pahalgam, the site of a recent terror attack that claimed innocent lives.

“The terror attack in Pahalgam was not just an attack on individuals, but on humanity itself,” Naqvi stated. “Through this yatra, we want to send a clear message that the entire nation stands united against terrorism.”

He praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian armed forces for their strong response to the attack and the continued aggression from across the border. “Our Prime Minister gave a free hand to our soldiers, who struck back decisively, destroying terrorist hideouts inside Pakistan. This sent a strong and much-needed message,” he said.

Naqvi further emphasized the government’s firm stance on ceasefire violations, adding, “PM Modi has made it clear that any violation of the ceasefire will be met with a strong response. Pakistan, the godfather of terrorism, must take note.”

In a bold assertion, Naqvi said that Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) will soon become an integral part of India, reflecting the growing sentiment in the country about reclaiming the region.

He also noted that the yatra is an expression of national solidarity and a tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. “Our message to them and their families is that 140 crore Indians are with our brave soldiers,” Naqvi further said.

Also present at the press conference was Saif Khan, Convenor of the Kashmir Division of the Muslim Rashtriya Manch, who echoed Naqvi’s sentiments. “The attack on innocent people in Pahalgam is an attack on humanity. No religion permits the killing of innocents. We strongly condemn such barbaric acts,” Khan stated.

Nazir Mir, Convenor of the Jammu & Kashmir UT chapter of the Muslim Rashtriya Manch, was also in attendance and expressed support for the yatra’s message of peace and unity.
