Opposition to meet Gov tomorrow for calling special Assembly session

“Will seek session for Article 35 A, failure of governance”

Srinagar, Sep 03: Opposition parties led by National Conference President Dr Farooq Abdullah are scheduled to meet Governor NN Vohra tomorrow to seek special Assembly session on Article 35A and discussing issues of governance.


Besides NC, Pradesh Congress Committe, CPI (M), PDF, DPN will be part of the delegation that will call on Vohra at Raj Bhavan tommorow at 11:30.

Confirming to KNS the scheduled meeting with Vohra, CPI (M) State Secretary, M Y Tarigami said the meeting is nesseciated by the threat to Article 35A and governance issues facing people.

“We will appeal to the Honble Governor to summon a speical session of Legislature so that we will discuss Article 35A. And the failure of the government in governing the state and providing people relief for the daily administrative and development issues,” Tarigami told KNS.

He said the meeting is scheduled tomorrow forenoon and the governor has accepted their request for the meeting.

PCC President G A Mir, Hakeem Yasin and G H Mir will be part of the political delegation.



“Backdoor appointments has become order of the day in PDP-BJP government. People are fed up with lack of governance and accountable administration,” Tarigami said, adding, “calling a session has become necessary to seek government accountability in the House,” he said. (KNS)
