Oath Ceremony of Newly Elected Body NGFOA Division Bandipora Takes Place

Srinagar 27 November(KNB): Oath ceremony of newly elected body Non Gazetted Forest officers association (NGFOA) division Bandipora took place at Chitternar campus on Thursday in presence of the officials.

On the occasion, all respected Foresters along with their field staff participated in the oath ceremony and Ex- NGFOA President Bandipora, Abdul Majeed Dar was the chief organizer.

During the oath ceremony, Ghulam Nabi Kalam – Province President NGFOA, Shabir Ahmad Bhat – DFO Bandipora, Javid Iqbal – Divisional President Kulgam, Nisar Ahmad Ragoo – Divisional President NGFOA Anantnag, Arshid Pampori – Divisional President NGFOA Urban Forestry Division, Mohammad Muzzaffer – General Secretary Urban Forestry Division, Mohammad Maqbool – RO Ajas, Mohammad Abbas – RO CFCR Bandipora and Tahirzullah Mir – RO Gurez Bandipora were chief guests.

However, Kalam Sahib took oath from the newly elected Division body NGFOA Bandipora which includes Reyaz Ahmad Haji – Divisional President NGFOA Bandipora, Ghulam Rasool Lone-Vice President, Firdous Ahmad Shah-Vice President, Hilal Ahmad Lone – General Secretary, Nazir Ahmad Dar – Cashier, Farhat Mir – Publicity Secretary, Showkat Ali Sofi – Publicity Secretary and Imtiyaz Ahmad Jan – Chief Advisor.

On the occasion Reyaz Ahmad Haji – Divisional President NGFOA Bandipora was given a warm welcome and congratulations from State/provincial bodies and DFO Bandipora. “He and his General Secretary, Hilal Ahmad Lone gave a brief overview about problems faced by forest officers, especially Division Bandipora and injustice with them,” the statement added.

Furthermore the oath ceremony ended with a brief overview of Kalam Sahib in which he briefly explained the objectives and achievements of NGFOA.

He also assured that efforts are in progress to achieve the goals of risk allowance, 2&1/2 Sunday Extra-allowance, evenement of grade in pay matrix, DPCs of Class-IV , Forest Guards, Foresters and regularization of daily wagers or implementation of Minimum Wages Act in favor of them on Ist priority basis. “No stone will be kept unturned for the welfare and betterment of these poor employees,” it added.(KNB)
