PDP president Mehbooba Mufti has showed her reluctance of taking oath of office and secrecy for taking over reins of J&K, top sources Friday evening said that “the new government shall be formed only after Monday”.
A source quoted Mehbooba as saying that she is shock over the death of her father and wants to remain with family for time being.
Ram Madhav, BJP’s Secretary general, flew to Srinagar this afternoon and held a ‘one-to-one’ meeting with Mehbooba Mufti at her Fairview residence.
It may be mentioned that earlier when Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah had died, his son Farooq Abdullah had taken the oath as CM within two hours.
Mehbooba, PDP insiders said, is in deep shock and “nobody dares to talk to her about the issue”.
