Srinagar 29 October (KNB): The Jammu Kashmir Governor’s Grievance Cell (JKGGC) forwarded the complaint regarding water crisis in North Kashmir’s Bandipora District for redressal to concerned authority-stated DC Sub User- who has not acted upon the issue within the mentioned time.
The complainant had posted grievance on ‘Jammu and Kashmir Integrated Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (JK-IGRAMS)’ on 13th October 2020 and was responded by Garo Devi (CHT member) of Governor’s Grievance Cell the following day (14th October) and directing the grievance for redressal to the concerned authority (Bandipora Administration).
On 15th, dealing Assistant Governors Grievance Cell Bandipora, Mudasir, directed the genuine demands of the complainant for redressal to the concerned authority (stated DC-Sub User) within a week’s time. But since then it has been 14 days and the concerned authority has not responded, neither acted upon the issue.
Talking to Kashmir News Bureau, Complainant said that he was very pleased as the Governor’s Grievance Cell responded to his complaint immediately but since it was forwarded to the concerned authority, the issue has been completely ignored and no reply has been made regarding it.
He further said, “We have been facing shortage of clean water for more than past 5 months and suffering day in and out. I was very optimistic after GGC responded to the query but as days passed by and no further action was taken, everyone in the area is disappointed”. (KNB)
