The Jammu and Kashmir government on Tuesday said that it has no plans implement the Allahabad High Court’s ruling that had made mandatory for the government employees to send their wards to government schools.
In reply to a question by MLA Wachi Aijaz Ahmed Mir, Minister for Education Naieem Akhtar in the assembly stated that government has no such proposal in consideration. However, he added that government is making all efforts overhaul the education system so that it would attract people itself to send their wards to government run schools. “People should do it by their own choice. I should not have to coerce people to do that,” Akhtar said.
