Mla Langate and AIP chief Er Rasheed was detained on Friday by Jammu and Kashmir police before his march towards besieged Jamia Masjid in Srinagar.
According to Reports, Rasheed was detained along with several of his workers ahead of Jamia Masjid in Nowhatta.
The state government has disallowed mandatory congregational Friday prayers since July 9, a day after popular militant commander Burhan Wani was killed by forces in the Bemdoora area of Islamabad district.
