Nizami expresses concern over educated youth adopting path of militancy

SRINAGAR, JULY 10: While targeting the ill aspects of PDP-BJP government, Congress party today showed its serious concern over the “alarming” rate of “educated unemployed youths” joining militants outfit thereby posing the “threat” to the national integrity.

Salman Nizami, Organising and Media Publicity Secretary J&K PCC today termed the joining of youth in various militants rank as a “forced move” as the policies of present government proved to be “anti-youth” thereby forcing them to join the militants outfit.

The reason behind joining various outfit is the failure of state government in ensuring job to the “educated unemployed youth”, in order to get relieved from the increasing “tension and mental choas” they preferred to join militant outfit. “Disillusionment stemming”, ” lack of development and jobs” and “anti-youth policies” are believed to be the biggest reason behind taking such an extreme step, said Nizami.

He said that the youth which are the future of our state are being targeted by the PDP which has become “puppet” in the hands of BJP and is following RSS ideology. “They are being ‘compelled’ to join militants outfit because the present government has failed in keeping the youth busy by creating various job avenues etc “, Salman Nizami said.

“The trend is very awful as many as a dozen educated youths “mostly graduates” are believed to have joined various ranks of militants outfit in the past few months which is very ‘gruesome’. It would have been avoided ultimately the violence could have been avoided if the so called PDP-BJP government would have done good in the way of keeping youth busy and by initiating some pro-youth policies as our Kashmiri people has suffered alot in this context but the government failed to learn the lesson . And finally situation has turned to be fragile”, added Nizami.
