ANANTNAG, Nov 27: National Conference (NC) candidate from Anantnag assembly constituency today filed nomination papers at Deputy Commissioner’s Office in presence of party working president and Chief Minister of Jammu and Kaqshmir, Omar Abdullah.
Hussian was given rousing applause by party workers in the town who accompanied him to the DC office, where Iftikhar filed nomination papers.
Speaking on the occasion, the party candidate said he would work for the welfare and betterment of the youth. “The area has been neglected by the successive leaders, because of which people are suffering here on every front,” he said, adding, he would left no stone unturned to work for the area.
Iftikhar was accompanied by Omar Abdullah, Dr Bashir Veery, NC MLC and District Working Committee.
“Omar Sahib has inducted me for next 20 years as party head in the district,” he said, adding, Omar wished he being from the town would serve the people and would be easily available for them.
Scores of youth including candidate Panthers Party, Zubair Ahmad from Fatehpur Gund along with his supporters joined NC. “Advocate Mujeeb Ul Rehman, a prominent civil society Activist also joined NC with his team members on the occasion,” NC Candidate said.
Bahujan Samajwadi party, General Secretary Hilal Beg with full team joined the NC in presence of Ifthker .
