Rashid Dar’s joining proves how PDP conspired to subvert PR Bill- Nasir Aslam Wani
“People who have worked against the interest of the state can never be ‘well meaning’ or ‘right thinking”
Srinagar September 05th: The National Conference today lambasted the PDP calling it a party full of anti-Kashmir people and a bunch of opportunistic politicians.
“After Dar’s joining it is proven beyond doubt that PDP was responsible to subvert the PR bill after” Provincial President of National Confirmed Nasir Aslam Wani today said while addressing a huge workers meeting at Damhal HanjiPora in south Kashmir
Stating that NC did not waste time in showing such people door to the provincial President of National Conference, Wani said that after Dar’s contentious adjournment of the house, NC immediately expelled him from the party.
“Omar Abdullah had at the very time said that Dar was instrumental in subverting the passage of the Bill at the behest of PDP patron Mufti Muhammad Sayeed, and with his joining our point has been proven right,” wani said.
Nasir added that it is so amusing that PDP patron Mufti Sayeed calls people who have worked against the interest of state and Kashmir in particular as right thinking person.
“Could a person who subverted the PR bill be “well-meaning” and ‘Right thinking” asked Nasir “Does PDP patron imply that all the people who have or are working against the interest of the state are well meaning”
“The person whom PDP claims to be well meaning had worked against the interest of the state and had been knocking at the door of both NC and Congress but we never entertained him” said Nasir adding “PDP has become a Publicity driven party who for gaining attention can go to any extent”
Reiterating the stand of working president Omar Abdullah to relinquish power in favour of the Peoples Democratic Party if it comes forward with a “certain and categorical solution” to Kashmir issue Nasir said “Why do not you come forward with a certain and categorical solution to Kashmir issue? Our working president is ready to relinquish the office in this regard unlike you whose only agenda is to grab power “by hook or by crook”.
“With every statement you are trying to hoodwink the people but remember people have understood your only agenda of grabbing power” said Nasir adding “People are wise enough to be led astray by you time and again,” “
Stating that NC will go to people with its progress report Nasir said “People are the best judges to judge the performance of the government and those who are indulging in false propaganda against the government and National Conference will be defeated in the 2014 Assembly elections.”
