NC, Cong suffer with simmering frustration within leadership’

PDP only credible regional political force in JK: Tak

Kishtwar, July 27: Asserting that Chief Minister Ms. Mehbooba Mufti has established herself as the leader of masses, Peoples Democratic Party MLC Firdous Tak Thursday said that frustration was simmering within the ranks of National Conference and Congress in Jammu and Kashmir.

“Congress is a spent force across the country, while National Conference has reduced itself to Team-B of its alliance partner”, Tak said adding that both the parties were disturbed with the growing popularity of PDP and acceptance of the ruling alliance as a coalition for governance by the masses. “This frustration is now visible even in the top ranks, of the two parties, who have started playing emotional card in an attempt to connect with the masses”.

Tak was addressing a mammoth rally of the party in Nagsena belt of Kishtwar in the run up to Foundation Day celebration of the party at the district headquarters. Hundreds of political workers from Congress, NC and BJP joined PDP on the occasion and undertook to strengthen the party at grassroot level.

Tak said that various forces in and outside the state had joined hands in order to destabilise the present dispensation. “The opposition parties did not left any stone unturned to fane patience in Kashmir and elsewhere with a hope that they will regain power, the only objective of these political organisations”, he said adding that the state Chief Minister Ms. Mehbooba Mufti worked at the ground level to steer the state out of the crises and unrest. “It’s her hard efforts and leadership qualities that peace has returned to Valley”, he said.

“The PDP has not only been able to ensure pro-people and all-round development initiatives during the past two years but it have provided legitimacy to the political set up in Jammu and Kashmir. During its rule, the NC leadership pushed the state into darkness and unending woes. It created a political vacuum and distrust among masses that resulted into chaos,” Tak said.

“The PDP has toiled hard to win back the trust of people who have started reposing faith in political and democratic setup. These achievements of PDP have mounted the level of frustration within the power-hungry National Conference and Congress. Such tricks of NC leadership won’t yield any outcome for it,” he said.

He said that PDP has established itself as the only credible regional political force which has the capacity and capability to represent aspirations of people. “We don’t play the politics of deceit”, he added.

Prominent among those who joined PDP on the occasion included Fareed Ahmed, Mohammad Amin, Arshad Ahmed, Bashir Ahmed, Ghulam Ahmed, Mohammad Rafi, Mansoor Ahmed, Abdul Rashid, Irshad Ahmed, Arshad Ahmed, Aslam Ahmed, Irfan Ahmed, Ali Muhammad Butt, Sajad Ahmed, Bashir Ahmed, Abdul Gani, Mushtaq Ahmed, Adil Ahmed, Zulfikar Ali, Mohammad Yousuf, Tanveer Ahmed, Shahzad Ahmed, Mudassir Ahmed, Ishtiyaq Ahmed, Zahoor Ahmed, Tariq Hussain, Muhammad Ashraf, Ghulam Mohammad, Rustam Ali, Imran Ahmed, Bashir Ahmed, Ghulam Nabi Zargar, Nageena Begum, Shabir Ahmed, Shafqat Ahmed, Mohammad Rafi, Fatima Begum, Mudassir Ahmed, Shanti Devi, Sajad Hussain, Sushma Devi, Fateh Mohammad, Shamas Din, Ikhlaq Ahmed, Abdul Karim Zargar, Akhtar Hussain, Mahraj Krishan, Sandeep Kumar, Subhash Kumar, Suresh Kumar, Ramesh Kumar, Rajeet Kumar, Sameena Begum, Tahseen Ahmed, Yasir Hussain, Ahsan ul Haq, Aijaz Ahmed, Abdul Rehman, Abdul Kabir, Aftab Ahmed, Manzoor Ahmed, Maryama Begum, Madan Lal, Shadi Lal, Subhash Chander, Raj Kumar, Archana Devi, Kewal Krishan, Nazir Ahmed, Saffu Begum, Raj Mohammad, Mir Qasim, Ram Krishan, Farid Ahmed, Yasir Ahmed, Arshad Ahmed, Ashim Din, and Mohammad Iqbal Butt.
