Kulgam 29 December (KNB):A Special Police Officer (SPO) who was missing for past week, has been arrested along with an AK-47 rifle in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Official said that SPO Zakir Ahmad Malik (No. 967/K) son of Mohammad Sikander Malik resident of Hangir, was arrested along with the rifle, a magazine and 24 rounds in Kulgam.
Pertinently, Zakir along with an AK weapon, magazine and 30 rounds had deserted the police station Frisal on 22nd December.
Officials added that investigation into the matter is underway. (KNB)
