Police claimed that a militant was killed during a encounter in Bomai area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on wednesday.
An official said that a Lashkar-e-Toiba commander Abu Bakr was killed during the seven-hour-long gunfight in Bodipora village.
He said an AK 47 rifle and other arms were recovered from encounter site, adding that the operation is still on in the area.
