Srinagar 05 January (KNB): A young socio-political activist from North Kashmir’s Watergam area, Advocate Mohammad Anayat joined People’s Democratic Party (PDP) clearing the speculations regarding his political party preference.

Anayat is a young practicing lawyer and social activist from Watergam Rafiabad of Baramulla District and was welcomed by PDP president Mehbooba Mufti into the party fold. He reposed his faith in the leadership of Mehbooba Mufti and resolved to strengthen the party.

He was accompanied by hundreds of his supporters on this occasion. While welcoming new entrants into the party fold, Mehbooba Mufti said that PDP would provide them a credible platform to work for public welfare and contribute towards strengthening the cause of dialogue and reconciliation for the resolution of Kashmir issue.

However, other PDP leaders said that it is the PDP’s policy which is attracting people in large numbers to serve the society better. “The PDP has kept progressing with its agenda by taking the decisive actions way back we have delivered on what we promised in our everyday speech,” they added.

Advocate Mohammad Anayat said that in the interest of my area and my people. “I have joined PDP and we have seen that people have shown confidence in the leadership of Mehbooba Mufti. The PDP is a cadre-based, disciplined party and has a people friendly ideology. Unlike other parties, the PDP listens to the voice of the smallest of the workers,” he said.

It is pertinent to mention here that Anayat is an energetic and hardworking activist from the Rafiabad area who joined the PDP with an aim to serve people of the state.

Meanwhile in presence of senior leaders, Anayat vowed to contribute immensely for the growth of the party in the area. (KNB)
