Srinagar 07 January (KNB): Interior roads of different areas around the SKIMS Soura and the ones leading to Imam Bargah Hazrat Abul Fazlil Abbas of BaghwanPora, Lal Bazar, Srinagar have not been cleared by the authorities alleged the locals of the areas.

According to locals, after the heavy snowfall throughout the Valley, the localities’ interior roads around the Skims Soura were not cleared by the concerned department. They said that the immense problems have to be faced due to the snow accumulated on the roads.

“Given the hospital in our locality and proper care in times of health emergency, the conditions of roads will make it difficult to get timely treatment if someone needs to go to the hospital,” a local expressed his concern.

Pertinently, the locals of Baghwanpora area of Lal Bazar also said that the roads leading to Imam Bargah were not cleared after the snowfall from 3rd January. “The Friday congregational prayers are tomorrow taking place here at Imam Bargah, but still the snow from roads have not been cleared yet. The authorities should take note of this and clear snow now,” said a local from Baghwanpora.

He further added that the SMC is doing their best in these times of hardship aggravated after the heavy snowfall, and their efforts would further be lauded if they clear snow on roads leading to Imam Bargah. (KNB)
