Mainly dry weather to remain in J&K, Ladakh till 15th December

Srinagar 08 December: Meteorological department on Wednesday said that they are expecting a light snowfall over higher reaches of J&K and Ladakh UTs during today and tomorrow with mainly dry weather to remain till 15th December.
A MeT official in a latest weather forecast said that as the weather is currently fair to partly cloudy in all districts of J&K and generally cloudy at most places of Leh district and Panikhar-Zanskar area of Kargil district, the light snowfall over higher reaches of both J&K and Ladakh UTs would be likely observed during 8th-9th of December.
It was further said that the weather in J&K and Ladakh would remain mainly dry till 15th December except chances of light snowfall over higher reaches of both UTs during today and tomorrow.
Regarding the temperature last night in Kashmir, MeT’s daily parameter register showed that Srinagar recorded -0.4 degrees C, Qazigund -1.6 degrees C, Pahalgam -3.4 degrees C, Kupwara -1.4 degrees C, Kokernag -1.4 degrees C and Gulmarg -6.0 degrees C. (KNB)
