Kulgam: Three civilians killed in forces action, It’s operation wipeout, says Mirwaiz

Srinagar, April 11 (KNB): At least three civilians have been killed and scores injured in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district following the protests erupt near Khudwani area in backdrop of the encounter between government forces and militants. Reports emanating from the ground said houses and shops were also set ablaze after heavy explosives were used to combat the militants.

The two slain civilians were identified as 28-year-old Sharjeel Ahmad Sheikh and 16-year-old civilian Bilal Ahmad Tantray. Initial reports suggest that Bilal has hit by a bullet while as Sharjeel was killed in cross firing. The third civilian was identifies as 14-year-old Faisal Elahi of Malpora Shopian.
Besides three civilians, an army soldier 1 R, SOG and a militant were also killed in encounter at Wani Mohall area of Khudwani.

“It’s not “operation all out“ but operation wipe out launched by Indian state as 13 year old minor Bilal falls victim to forces bullets after 26 year Sharjeels brutal killing at #Kulgam! Injured at hospitals battling for life and limb with pellets injuries threatening eyesights,” tweets Mirwiaz Umar Farooq, adding, houses and shops being blown up by explosives. Appeal UN and international community to step in as situation is dire.

Meanwhile, soon after the news of youth killings came into light protests erupt in several parts of Kashmir Valley including in Sopore, Kashmir University and other parts of South Kashmir.
