Kulgam Attack: Among Four Injured Army Personnel One Succumbs

Kulgam 27 January (KNB): Among the four injured Army Personnel in Kulgam attack, one soldier succumbed to injuries at Army Hospital in Srinagar.

Officials said that one among the four injured army men has succumbed to injuries at Army’s 92 base hospital in Srinagar.

Earlier, as per officials, an IED went off inside a school in Subhanpora locality of Shamsipora on Srinagar-Jammu highway in Kulgam district, in which four army personnel of a Road Opening Party of 24 RR sustained injuries.

Officials said that the injured army men were shifted to a army hospital in Srinagar for treatment.
The school building has been damaged due to the IED blast, they added.

Meanwhile, Srinagar based defence spokesperson Col. Rajesh Kalia in a statement said that militants lobbed a grenade on Army’s Road Opening Party during the sanitisation drill at around 10:15 am.

After the blast, forces launched a massive search operation in order to nab the attackers. (KNB)
