Srinagar:   Kashmir Haat and J&K Handicraft’s department which have a unique place in the state have turned into CRPF residential camps. While ‘Kashmir Haat’ adds charm into the lives of people, who are bruised with the three decade long conflict, especially in summers when various cultural and other programmes are organised there, the Handicraft’s department is a main source of the state’s economy.

If you visit the said departments, it seems one has landed in the war hit parts of Syria or Libya. Kashmir is also in a conflict but not as intense as is seen in these countries.
