Dozens of people took part in protest organised by youth and civil society against the high handedness of theSSP traffic who has been misusing her office to install fear among commuters.The protest was organised at press enclave,Srinagar here.
In a press statement Uzair Ronga said that Rule of Law must ensure smooth running of society however the traffic SSP traffic Surgan Sukhla has been on rampage and has been harassing commuters plying in Srinagar roads. Rather making people feel safe on roads feel safe her sight irritates people. An officer must not be hated for the work they do but unfortunately she has stopped to look inside her department.
Corruption is rampant in traffic department and people are being put to inconvenience even after having all the paper work. People are not fond of breaking traffic regulations but the unnecessary stopping must end. This culture of fear, intimidation and harassment must end and this lady officer who wants fame out of her notorious way of working must be transferred and an officer from the state be put in place. So that the officer understands the sensibility of the local people and not behave like a goon.
Protesters demanded that this officer be transferred immediately so that people may have a sigh of relief. The daily harassment of commuters must end and sense must prevail.
