MLA Wachi Aijaz Ahmad Mir raised the issue of providing hi-tech dry fruit mandi in Kashmir valley. He said that in the absence of any quality fruit mandi in the region, which is a leaging apple producing region, fruit growers not only face problems but has severely affected the horticulture spectrum.
The MLA said that to give impetus to lucrative farming and generate meaningful employment avenues a hitech dry fruit mandi is need of the hour.
Aijaz said the land in one of the villages of his contintuency, Alam Hermen spans across 300 kanals can be used for the dry fruit mandi.
