Kashmir remembers son of its soil

On 7th March 1997 , Manzoor Ahmad Khan a commander of Hizbul Mujahideen and a notable intellectual figure was arrested by Special Task Force (STF) from Abiguzar and later martyred in Humhama Police Station which was later on shown as encounter by the concerned agencies but in reality was a stage-managed cold blooded murder which also included three other top commanders of Hizb.
On this day near and dear ones especially the people of Kashmir remember the departed soul with great respect.

Manzoor Ahmad Khan was known as very honest and pro-movement figure who always held vision and ideology above every other thing.
Pertinently, the martyred soul was moved on by the oppression and difficulty faced by masses of his land since beginning and dreamed for a liberated Kashmir which would be free from every sort of oppression and slavery.

After achieving martyrdom, Manzoor Ahmad Khan was laid to rest by thousands of people with highly charged emotive atmosphere full of pain and applause for the departed soul at Aishtangoo, Bandipora.
