Famous Pakistani reporter Chand Nawab, who acted as an inspiring character in Salman Khan’s film Bajrangi Bhaijaan, was beaten up along with members of his television crew at a railway station in Karachi.

Nawab, who is presently working for 92 News Channel was on an assignment with his colleagues when they were allegedly beaten by railway officials and police while he was reporting on the issue of sale of overpriced train tickets ahead of the Eid-ul-adha festival.

Sindh minister Nisar Khuhro had taken notice of the shameful incident and ordered an inquiry into it. The channel has also brought the incident to the notice of Pakistan’s railways minister Khawaja Saad Rafique.

The Karachi police alleged Nawab had misbehaved with officials and also attacked them. They further said that there was no scalping of tickets.
