Pulwama: District Magistrate, Pulwama, Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Lone, accompanied by the Regional Director J&K Pollution Control Board and officers of Police Administration inspected various Cement Manufacturing Units in Woyan, Tehsil Pampore. The Magistrate expressed serious resentment on non-adherence of pollution control norms by some of the cement manufacturing plants. Period of fifteen days was given to J&K Cement Manufacturing Limited; Khrew to install necessary pollution control equipment’s which the unit shall be sealed. At the same time Dawar Cement Manufacturing Plant Khrew was sealed causing the public nuisance. District Magistrate Instructed all the officers Police and Revenue Administration to conduct regular inspections of these Units so that the compliance to pollution control norms is ensured.
