Army on Thursday claimed to have killed foiled an infiltration bid by killing three militants in Gurez valley of Bandipora district of Jammu and Kashmir.
A Srinagar-based defence spokesman, Col. Rajesh Kalia said three militants were killed after army foiled an infiltration bid in Gurez.
He said the operation was in progress.
An official said that a group of 3-6 militants tried to sneak into this side of LoC last night.
“Army’s 13 Sikh regiment guarding the LoC near Bagtore area of Gurez noticed their movement. The militants opened fire after they were challenged. During the operation, three militants were killed,” he said.
