When you have health you can win the race
Kashmir is well known place all over the world for its flora and fauna in all conditions whether it is in terms of beauty or hospitality. Undoubtedly, Kashmir has a natural beauty but we ought to cater to its cleanness. Government has properly made a department for maintaining the beauty and invests money for the beautification. One of them is municipality department which is well known department and has a role in maintaining the beauty via proper sanitation and cleanness. A division in Municipality Department is specially established by the government to maintain the beauty in level, to remove the undisturbed waste material and protect from harmful diseases that are caused because of garbage and solid waste materials. As all know Kashmir is on second number in corruption very next to Bihar but on account of the grave situation in Kashmir different divisions are making their own extra salary and municipality division is one of them and then the results is death due to malaria or other disease. As compared to other states of India, Kashmir is more creative due to its natural beauty but people are making it sully and municipality department watch their activities stealthily and prefer to take bribe rather than taking strong action against them.
As the expectations of people living in Kashmir from division of municipality are very high but unfortunately their expectations have not been filled on the right tract. Municipality division is also connected with human health; malaria disease is the cause of solid waste material like rubber tubes, polythene and plastic bottles that are present in our society due to regarding of municipality division. No doubt on one side SMC is doing well in maintaining the colorful roads at the cities but as u look at the other areas of Kashmir they are fully polluted with different types of waste material and become the reason of disease for people and the concern
While as Gulam Mohammad resident of Jawhar Nagar states -“ We are suffering lot due to irresponsibility of municipality division, outside of our house there are many dogs all around because of garbage which were not removed day by day and not taking step against dangerous dogs, . We can’t go outside at evening because of dogs even when our wards moves towards to school we prefer to go with them and most important it is causing diseases and another issue is when we are going to sleep the dogs bark all throughout night . Even In my home my mother is heart patient and you can realize what the adverse effects would be on her due to dogs barking. So we hope from this story our voice will reach the destiny and Municipal authorities will remove the garbage per day so we can live happy and joyful life as the others live.”
The issue of dogs is not solved yet and taken at a lighter note by concern authority and on the other side those dogs are showing their style as biting the people at the different places and this has grave impacts. The menace should be treated soon.. So the concerned authority should tackle the issue seriously and help to save precious lives.
