Dozens of youth on Friday staged pro-freedom protests amid clashes with government forces in Old City area of Srinagar.
According to media Reports , dozens of youth assembled near Jamia Masjid in Nowhatta and Raised pro-freedom and anti-India Slogans . The protesters also waved the flags of ISIS and Pakistan.
Reports said that the youths later pelted stones in the areas around at Saraf Kadal and Rajouri Kadal along Nallahmar Road for several hours on government forces and in retaliation forces fired teargas and pepper gas shells to disperse the protesters. The commercial activities in the area came to halt.
However, the situation returned to normal later.
