Srinagar | Oct 21 : continuing with its nocturnal raids, police today arrested brother for brother in Wusan village of Ganderbal, sources said.
According to sources police were looking for two what they called stone pelters, one Tariq Ahmad Sheikh son of Muhammad Ramzan Sheikh and Muhammad Ishfaq Sheikh son of Abdul Rahim Sheikh, both are from Wusan area of Ganderbal.
“Ishfaq was arrested for his brother who was not present when police raided their house,” sources said.
They both brothers are involved. Since we were going to arrest one brother we caught hold of the other one who is also involved in stone throwing,” said a senior police official.
Locals refuted the police version saying Ishfaq Sheikh wasn’t involved in any kind of protest. “He was arrested without any crime,” they said. (PTK)
