Srinagar, Dec 06 (KNB): In an important weather related development, weatherman have Sound Ed Alert, as they have predicted heavy snow, rains across J&K from 11 Dec to 15 Dec.
Pertinently, A fresh Western Disturbance is most likely to affect the state of J&K from 11th to 15th Dec 2017.
According to the Director MeT, Sonam Lotus the weather system may lead to disruption of surface and air transportation like Sgr-Leh, Sgr-Jammu, and Mughal Road etc.
It will bring relief to farmers, especially who have sown Rabi crops in plains of Kashmir and Jammu region and overall improvement in soil moisture. Hence farmers are advised not to irrigate the fields this week, it said.
Lotus issued a general warning for the state, saying Higher reaches of Kashmir, Ladakh & Hilly area of Jammu most likely to receive moderate to Heavy snowfall during this period. (KNB)
