Anantnag 15 April(KNB): A Gunfight raged between security forces and militants in Watnar Kokernag of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Saturday.
According to reports reaching to news agency KNB, security forces launched a cordon and search operation in the Watnar Village area of Anantnag in south Kashmir following inputs about the presence of militants there.
They said the search operation turned into an encounter after the militants fired upon the forces, who retaliated.
The exchange of fire is going on and further details are awaited. (KNB)
