Governor N.N. Vohra released ‘Tobacco Control Laws and Measures’, a booklet compiled by A.M. Mir, IAS (Retd.), Executive Director of J&K Voluntary Health and Development Association.
Governor observed that this publication will make valuable contribution towards sensitizing the public at large about the extremely harmful effects of smoking and consumption of tobacco products, most of which result in life-threatening medical problems.
He emphasized the importance of mobilizing volunteers from various segments of society and organizations for raising awareness on a much larger scale about the adverse consequences of smoking and consumption of tobacco and its related products.
Governor complimented the Association and its members for the valuable work being done by them.
