Geelani Wasn’t Wrong, Sanjeewani Vati Medicine In Health Units Contains Cow Urine

A shocking revelation has come to the fore. After dictates from BJP government to eat this and that, a medicine-Sanjeewani Vati laced with cow urine is reportedly being distributed to the health centers run by the directorate of Indian System of Medicine in the Valley.

Hurriyat Conference (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani had already voiced his concern over it that such medicines were being distributed at government centers.

“The medicine was withdrawn from about 400 government dispensaries in the state”, a senior ISM officer told Kashmir Reader.

However, Health minister Chowdhary Lal Singh had denied Geelani’s statement as “misleading”.

“The medicine was purchased by a purchasing committee of which doctors from Kashmir and Jammu are members. That drug was purchased especially when the annual Amarnath Yatra commenced,” the ISM officer said.
Another senior ISM doctor, said the drug was dispensed free of cost especially during medical camps in villages and border areas. The doctor said director ISM-led purchasing committee was responsible for procuring the drug.
