Geelani Health Improving

Srinagar: Health of Syed Ali Geelani is improving and he is better now, reports said. Geelani is currently bed-ridden. However, his health showed improvement since last night.

“Geelani’s condition is stable and he is feeling better now. It was due to the prayers and charity of people that Geelani’s health is improving,” a separatist leader told CNS.

Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik, Jamat-e-Islami Chief Ghulam Muhammad Bhat, senior separatist leader Javaid Ahmed Mir and others visited Geelani’s Hyderpora residence to enquire about his health. Jamat-e-Islami Chief was the first to visit the ailing leader’s house in uptown Hyderpora here in Srinagar.

Malik too visted his residence and enquired about his health. “Yasin Malik went to Geelani’s house. He sat with him for more than an hour. Both Geelani and Yasin Malik looked emotional during the meeting,” said a top JKLF leader, who was accompanying Malik. Reports said that many delegations arrived at ailing leaders residence and inquired about his health.

Meanwhile, spokesperson Hurriyat (G) said that Geelani is stable and doctors have advised him complete bed rest. “We appeal people not to bother to visit Geelani Sahab’s residence but always remember him in their prayers,” the spokesperson said. (CNS)
