Srinagar, May 29: Former Principal Chief Conservator Forests, Haji Abdul Rashid Khan breathed his last at his residence in Barzulla, Srinagar on Wednesday afternoon. Survived by his wife, four sons and three daughters, Abdul Rashid Khan graduated in Forestry from the University College of North Wales, England in 1945 and was one of the foremost authorities on Forestry Sciences and Conservation in the State.
Khan is the son of Former Chief Engineer Haji Ghulam Hassan Khan and the son-in-law of veteran Kashmiri leader Khwaja Ghulam Ahmed Ashai.
His Nimaaz-e-Jinaza will be offered on Thursday at 11:00 am at Masjid Wazir Muhammad Khan at Barzulla.
