Shopian 06 March (KNB): A joint team of police and security forces on Saturday morning launched Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in south kashmir’s Chidipora area of the Shopian district.
A police official told the News Agency — Kashmir News Bureau that the operation started on a Saturday morning which was carried by a joint team of Police and Army.
He said that after specific information regarding the presence of militants in the area, the searches were carried out in the morning in the Chidipora area of South Kashmir’s Shopian.
However, the police official further confirmed that the CASO ended peacefully later on.
Pertinent to mention that the CASO came after the one which was carried in the North Kashmir’s Baramulla area yesterday in the morning, on which story was filed by our News Agency. (KNB)
