Anantnag 16 June(KNB): An encounter broke out between militants and security forces in Hangalgund Kokernag area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Thursday, Police said.
An official sources told news agency Kashmir News Bureau-KNB that, on a specific information about the presence of militants in the area of Hangalgund area of Kokernag, security forces launched cordon and search operation.
They said, hiding militants fired upon the searching party which was retaliated and triggering an encounter.
Meanwhile, Firing from both sides is going on when the last reports came in. (KNB)
