Baramulla(KNB):Senior trade union leaders of Employees joint action committee in a statement to Kashmir News Bureau have urged upon the Government to regularise Rehber e Khel teachers on the pattern of Rehbar e Taleem teachers and Rehber e Janglaat Employees.
Rehbari Khel teachers were appointed in the Department of youth services and Sports to overcome the deficiency of Physical Education teachers in Govt Schools and to provide job opportunity to qualified, trained and professional MPEd and BPEd Candidates.
It is pertinent to mention that Government in 2017 gave approval to their appointment and it was approved that these Rehbar e Khel teachers will be regularised after 7 years of service. Despite the fact that Government has appointed Rehbar e Taleem teachers in Education department and Rehbar e Janglaat in forest Department and their regularisation was done after 5 yrs of service. This shows that Government has adopted a stepmotherly treatment with Rehbar e Khel candidates and they have to suffer for more two yrs, which is injustice.
Senior trade union leaders of Employees Joint action committee Mohd Rafiq Rather and Pir Nisar in a statement to Kashmir News Bureau have urged upon the Govt to change the policy of regularisation in favour of Rehbar e Khel Teachers and appealed Government to approve their regularisation.
Both the leaders have also appealed the Government to enhance their monthly honorarium to ease their difficulties because these teachers are not able to feed their families nor can they fulfill their monthly expenses with an honorarium of Rs 3000.
EJAC leaders Mohd Rafiq Rather and Pir Nisar Ahmad also appealed the Lt Governor of J&K, Chief Secretary, Hon’ble Advisors, Secretary Youth services and Sports to look into their genuine demands. Both the leaders have assured Rehber e Khel teachers and their union president Showkat Ahmad Khan that all the leaders of EJAC fully support their genuine and justified demands and will support them at every level to resolve these issues.(KNB)
